Whether you're an experienced river cruiser or new to boating on the Thames, Twickenham Yacht Club has a friendly and active cruising community ready to welcome you.

Cruising at TYC is about enjoying the river at your own pace. Throughout the season, members organise a varied programme of informal cruises, ranging from relaxed pub lunches and day trips to weekend adventures, bank holiday cruises and longer journeys both upstream and into central London. Some members prefer to cruise in company, while others enjoy planning their own adventures - both are very much part of club life.

Some members keep their boats on TYC mooring and others keep their boats moored elsewhere - what they all have in common is wanting to be part of an active cruising community with a clubhouse base.

Our annual cruising programme begins each spring with the Start of Season party, where members come together to plan the season ahead, and finishes with our End of Season supper.

There are Club Trophies for cruisers too: members are also encouraged to keep a cruising log, with annual awards recognising memorable voyages both upstream and downstream.

Beyond the water, you'll enjoy everything Twickenham Yacht Club has to offer: a welcoming clubhouse with licensed bar, hot showers and changing facilities, plus practical amenities including a pressure washer and equipment to help maintain your boat.
