RYA CEVNI Exam
Cruise Europe's Inland Waterways with Confidence
If you're planning to take a boat onto many of Europe's rivers, canals and inland waterways, you'll need an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) with a CEVNI endorsement.
CEVNI (Code Européen des Voies de la Navigation Intérieure) is the standard set of navigation rules used on inland waterways across much of mainland Europe. Passing the CEVNI test demonstrates that you understand the signs, signals and regulations you'll encounter when cruising abroad.
How it Works
The CEVNI qualification is based on self-study using the RYA European Waterways Regulations (G17) handbook.
Once you're ready, we can arrange your official RYA CEVNI assessment. The multiple-choice test is completed at a time that suits you and, on successful completion, enables you to apply for the Inland Waterways endorsement on your ICC.
