Training Courses
As an RYA Training Centre since 2011, Twickenham Yacht Club is proud to offer its members and prospective members a wide range of training courses:
Twickenham Yacht Club offers a range of RYA courses, including Dayskipper theory, First Aid, Diesel Engine all taught by our experienced Training team in our Clubhouse.
VHF radio is now an online course, and we offer the assessment test which leads to the RYA’s Short-Range Certificate, qualifying holders to operate marine VHF radio transmitters.
European inland waterways regulations are self-taught and we offer the assessment test for CEVNI, which leads to the inland waterways endorsement on the International Certificate of Competence.
RYA Courses
In addition, for those with some dinghy sailing experience, Twickenham Yacht Club offers the chance to increase your hours and progress, with regular Improvers sessions throughout the year and for budding racers, enhance your river racing skills.
Learn before lunch sessions are run January - March to refresh and develop skills such as knots, crewing, points of sail, race officer and support boat training to facilitate club fixtures.
