Keyhaven Week is usually one of the highlights of the summer for TYC sailors. Unfortunately, as with everything else, the week in its usual form has been cancelled since organised racing of large fleets and daily indoor social events are not possible under current Government rules.
Instead, TYC and Keyhaven Yacht Club are currently seeking to arrange a deal with the River Warden which would allow TYC sailors to launch from the Council-owned beach as a group sponsored by KYC without having to pay a launch fee. With that in place, it should be possible to organise small informal sailing and trips between the two clubs.
Ongoing communication will be key in making this work so can anyone intending to go to Keyhaven please contact Tom Hill, TYC Vice Commodore, with details of numbers in your group, if you are planning on bringing a boat and if you will need to store the boat at the club.
