The Benefits of Membership

Being a member of Twickenham Yacht Club brings many benefits both on and off the water..:.

  • Weekly dinghy racing on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames.  Those without experience or a boat can crew for other members. 

​

  • Regular cruising events and fun days each year.

​

  • Inexpensive moorings for both dinghies and motor cruisers available by arrangement with the club's Harbour Master. 

​

  • Club dinghies available for members to experience sailing on the river at a small charge. Please ask at the bar on the Upper Deck. 

​

  • An annual opportunity to visit our sister club at Keyhaven for a week's racing and cruising on the Solent. 

​

  • Occasional sailing on the South Coast on larger yachts to which members have access. 

​

  • Lifeboat Week Pursuit Race in aid of the RNLI

​

  • Opportunity to meet members from other clubs at our open racing meetings and inter-club cruising events.

 

  • Recognised RYA Training Centre with a wide variety of shore-based courses on offer, discounted rates available to members.

  • A well-stocked bar available when the Club is open.

​

  • Wide variety of social events including ‘Moules evening’, quiz and movie nights, and musical events.

​

  • Occasional Wednesday evening and Sunday lunchtime talks.

 

  • Regular Club suppers and annual Regatta barbeque.

 

  • Annual Club Black Tie Ball and Prizegiving.

  • Club and bar are available to members for use for private parties (marquee also available)
