Dinghy Sailing Courses
We offer a range of RYA courses and tuition in dinghy sailing, for all adults over the age of 16 and children over the age of 8. These courses are offered between April and September each year. In order to take part in these courses you will need to enrol as a member. At the same time you may want to consider the benefits of full membership.
All of our courses are taught by RYA qualified instructors in groups with a maximum ratio of 6 students to each instructor. Teaching takes place on the water and in the classroom and we move between the two depending on the group, the weather conditions and the requirements of the curriculum.
We can provide buoyancy aids although if you have your own you are welcome to use them. We do not provide wetsuits or protective clothing, and we strongly advise that you acquire your own before starting a course. We can provide advice on what is suitable. You should bring: swimwear (to wear under wetsuit), shoes you are happy to get wet, a towel, a change of clothes, suntan cream, a hat, a water bottle and lunch/snacks.
All courses are two days duration.
